Trades-person + labourer team
CALLING ALL CARPENTERS / BUILDERS / HANDYPEOPLE / labourers.. DO YOU HAVE ANY EXPERIENCE WORKING IN TRADES OR CONSIDER YOURSELF ESPECIALLY ‘HANDY’? WOULD YOU BE WILLING TO ROLE YOUR SLEEVES UP AND TO HELP US MAKE THE BIG CHURCH SITE LOOK AMAZING?
We are looking for people who have some specific skill or general willingness to help us install and pack down our creative sets, and structures around site. You might have particular trade skills we could utilise or take responsibility for delivery of a certain task or you might want to support with a willingness to simply get stuck in with some heavy lifting work. In either case our team of supervisors will manage and take you through our SWP (safe work practices), as well as supply appropriate PPE if required (personal protective equipment). It would be desirable, though not essential if you had a working at height certificate, tools, and your own PPE.
What days do I need to work?
You’ll work at least two days (preferably more) between Monday 22nd May – Tuesday 7th June (though definitely not during the event). Our build and pack-down schedules are a work-in-progress currently so a level of flexibility initially would be useful, while we work out exactly what days we require support. Hours worked will vary, but will likely be ‘longer days’, usually from 8am – 6pm.
When do I need to arrive?
You will need to be on-site no later than 8.30pm the night before your first shift. In addition, you will need to attend a briefing before you start your shift. The timings of these will be roughly 9.00am or 8.30pm every day.
