Big Church Festival

Drivers, loading assistants + supervisors

DO YOU HAVE A VALID UK DRIVING LICENCE? ARE YOU WILLING TO DRIVE A LONG WHEELBASE (LWB) VAN OR ASSIST WITH THE LOADING AND UN-LOADING OF OUR VEHICLES? COULD YOU HELP US MANAGE THE LOGISTICS OF TRANSPORTING OUR INVENTORY OF EQUIPMENT?

If so, we would love to hear from you. We have many van loads of essential equipment, sets, materials etc to carry to site from our local storage facilities (and back again in the days after the event). Most of this will be fairly light/medium weight. We will put you in a small 2-3 person team and run shifts throughout the build phase, until everything has been carried. As a driver/or assistant you will have a plan to follow, detailing pickup and delivery points – with a supervisor preparing the loads for you and communicating progress.

What days do I need to work?

You’ll work at least two days (preferably more) between Monday 22nd May – Tuesday 7th June (though definitely not during the event). Our build and pack-down schedules are a work-in-progress currently so a level of flexibility initially would be useful, while we work out exactly what days we require support. Hours worked will vary, but will likely be ‘longer days’, usually from 8am – 6pm.

When do I need to arrive?

You will need to be on-site no later than 8.30pm the night before your first shift. In addition, you will need to attend a briefing before you start your shift. The timings of these will be roughly 9.00am or 8.30pm every day.
